On October 28, 2026, an Administrative Order (Acuerdo) was published in the Mexican Official Gazette (Diario Oficial de la Federación) to modify the Rules for Filing Applications before the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property (IMPI). The order amends the single form used for procedures relating to applications for appellations of origin and geographical indications, identified by reference number IMPI-00-007.
This modification is produced after the original form was published on September 9, 2026, and introduces further adjustments in accordance with the principle of administrative simplification.
